To my heart thoughts, expressions, experiences, and passion in print! It has been a long time coming but finally I have gotten the nerves to release all that is stored in my brains and heart and lay it all out on the table for you. Although, what seemed to others as procrastination, to me I believe had to be perfect timing. "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven," Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV). I thrive on doing everything as I do unto the LORD; therefore my website not only depicts all that represents me, of just look very professional, it had to be a representation of my Heavenly Father, God. I follow the principles of God that says, “And whatsoever ye do, do IT heartily, as to the LORD, and not unto men;” Colossians 3:23.
I am just thrilled that I am blessed with the most magnificent, wonderful, most amazing, supportive man, My Special Gift from God, “My Black-Knight-in-Shining Armor.” I call him “My Hunka-Chunka Chocolate!” My husband Max, with his gift and many talents, helped me create and design a professional website. He really did all the work, I on the other hand only had to do the typing; I just told him what I wanted and he aimed to please. It didn’t matter the little fussing and fights and the many times I said I didn’t like this or that on a page he was more than willing to give me exactly what I wanted. He took the time out of his very busy schedule and worked diligently to make it look just right.
The man I married some 31 years ago; who has been my best friend for over 34 years knows his stuff. When it comes to creating a flier, designing websites and posters (just to name a few) he is the man to call. The proof is shown throughout this entire website. I can go on typing for hours sharing and talking about his talent, commitment and love, but I’m not here to tell romantic stories, maybe for a later date.
Let me get on with why I chose to write this blog, how it came to being and where will it lead. It was in the late 1990s in Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas, when my husband Max and I owned and published a monthly newsletter called, “Bahamian Gospel Today.” I came up with the idea to write an article for the magazine. I thought about my love for children, how everyone always complimented Max and I on the way we were raising our children and their behavior. I remember growing up with my grandmother on the Island of Exuma, Bahamas, and all of her teachings. Her special bible quote was, “Train Up A Child...” Proverbs 22:6. I’ll share more on this as I Blog. Suffice it to say, I thought the wording was a little too long, hence the acronym TUAC came. But not only do I refer it to that bible verse, I also relate it to parents who need “To Act” quickly when it comes to raising a child.
I have soooo many Fun-Tastic Topics to speak on. I also have you my readers who will ask me questions, make comments and give me ideas that will help me come up with Topics. This is going to be fun for both you and me. I won’t bore you with “Big Boring Words,” but I will write in an amusing and enjoyable way that would capture your interest and keep you reading and coming back for more. I will write descriptively as though you are right in the room with me, so much so that you will feel each word compassionately.
This is truly going to be a very long, fanatical, fun-filled, dream-fulfilling journey. Are you excited and ready to travel this journey with me? Then come join me on My TUAC Journey.
